About Our Site

YourTeenager was formed to offer a unique reference point on how to handle teenage behaviour and build positive relationships.

Life as a parent brings with it challenging times. Getting to grips with being a parent and looking after a young child can be exhausting, but even when you've successfully conquered the early years and your children seem well behaved, things can change as they hit their teens and become teenagers.

The teenage years are renowned for being a potentially turbulent time for both teens themselves and their parents. It's an important time for youngsters, as they go through various key stages of development, both physically, socially and emotionally and they may start to re-evaluate the people and beliefs that are important to them. Some teens sail through effortlessly without any major issues, whilst for others it can be a tougher time.

Whatever your situation and however old your teen, YourTeenager is designed to help parents understand the needs, feelings and behaviour of teenagers of both sexes. The site covers a wide range of issues and situations, from teen relationships, school and work, to your teen's social life and behaviour.

If you've got any particular issues you'd like to see featured on the site, or would like to help other parents to understand their teenager more by telling your story, then do let us know.

Our concern was that there was no single UK resource for interesting features and practical advice on this subject.

Our features and articles are written by experts - who have experience, or a particular interest in this area.
